In the July Board of Trustees meeting, the Board asked the administration to develop a process to compensate adjunct faculty for time spent preparing for a course that is cancelled during the week before classes start, or if an adjunct faculty member is “bumped” during the same period.  This new process has been implemented beginning this semester (Fall, 2019).  It does not apply retroactively.  Compensation will be either a one-time payment of $300, or the adjunct may select an alternative assignment.   Should you have lost classes this semester as described, you should contact your department chair to begin the discussion on compensation.
