Location: Rio Grande Campus Mainstage Theater
Time: May 3 & 4, 8:00pm
The Spring Choreographers´ Showcase is an event presented by the ACC dance department every fall, spring and summer semester. Choreography is the creative working process we embark on when making new dance pieces each semester, and our students fully immerse themselves in this collaborative effort! The showcase is our culminating event, and all performers are ACC dance students. This semester we are presenting three contemporary dances choreographed by faculty Roxy Gage, Darla Johnson and Catherine Solaas, as well as ten dances choreographed by aspiring student choreographers. The showcase promises to be an eclectic event. Look for a wide spectrum of dance styles from pure dynamic movement with leaps and bounds to clever narrative dance.

All proceeds benefit the Dance and Drama Scholarship Fund. The funds cover tuition, fees and books for dance and drama majors (the number of awards and dollar amount of each award varies from semester to semester). Scholarships are awarded every fall and spring semester based on scholastic merit, artistic promise and the need for financial assistance.

Performances are Friday and Saturday May 3 and 4 at 8:00 p.m. ACC Rio Grande Mainstage Theater (1212 Rio Grande). Talkback with performers and choreographers after each show; reception opening night. $10 general, $5 students/seniors. 223-3384 for info.
