Coming into ACC straight out of high school was a challenge because I did not have a declared major. I began as a student and now am an employee as well. ACC helped me look into my future and really ask myself what my goals were. Recently, while working in the Early College High School program, I learned how much I love working with high school students who are making the transition into college. With this door opening, I declared my major in Interdisciplinary Studies and plan to graduate ACC in 2014 with my Associate of Arts in Teaching. With their various locations throughout the Austin area, small class sizes and flexible class schedules, going to school has become convenient and hassle free. I look forward to all the learning experiences I will gain while at ACC.
