Dozens of community members gathered at Austin Community College District’s (ACC) Highland Campus on Tuesday, September 15, for Constitution Day 2026 and a conversation around the question: What are my responsibilities to my community?
The annual event featured ACC’s Great Questions Community Seminar, bringing participants together for small-group conversations about civic responsibility, community participation, and the role each person can play in their community.
Participants explored perspectives from thinkers and civic leaders, including Cicero, James Madison, Booker T. Washington, Barbara Jordan, and others, before engaging in conversation with elected officials, including the mayor of Cedar Park.
The event encouraged participants to consider different perspectives, ask questions, and connect ideas about civic responsibility to their own communities.
