Application & Selection Process

About the Application

The deadline to submit applications has passed.

The Leadership Academy application consists of two parts and all portions must be submitted by the deadline for the applicant to be considered for selection.

Supervisor approval and support is key to succeeding in the Leadership Academy. As a part of the application process, you must provide your supervisor with a copy of the “Supervisor Quick Guide” (found here) to read through and approve via signature.

Application PART ONE

The deadline to submit applications has passed.

Part One of the Leadership Academy Application collects general information about the employee and their history. Items include:

  • Experience/Involvement (ACC, community, etc)
  • Interest/Intended outcomes of participation
  • Long-term career goals
Application PART TWO

The deadline to submit applications has passed.

Part Two of the Leadership Academy Application demonstrates the employee’s likeliness to succeed in the program. Items include:

  • A confirmation email print out of submission of PART ONE
  • Applicant’s & Supervisor’s Statement signatures (found in the “Supervisor Quick Guide”)
  • A letter of interest articulating how the Leadership Academy will benefit you both personally and professionally
  • Your resume
  • Two letters of endorsement (one from your immediate supervisor, and one from someone you feel can address your potential for participation in the Leadership Academy)
  • Two consecutive years of your most recent annual reviews

Part Two submissions can be made via campus mail to the Faculty Development Office (HBC 506.4), however email is preferred:

Application & Selection Timeline

The deadline to submit applications has passed.

The ACC Leadership Academy Selection Committee will review the applications and will forward their recommendations to the President/CEO in July.

The President/CEO will review applications and make final selections during early August.

Selected candidates will be notified by certified mail to their home address in mid-August (by 8/18/17).

The new ACC Leadership Academy Class will be introduced to the Board on September 5.
