Elisha Mac Gregor

Elisha Mac Gregor is a psychology student, Ascender mentee-turned-mentor, Student Government Association member, and artist. Born in Venezuela, then migrating to Canada, she arrived in Austin two years ago. She believes that our duties as citizens are to take care of future generations, serving causes larger than ourselves and keeping a commitment to consistently evolve as human beings. She keeps close ties to her Venezuelan roots by working closely with the Anunciando Una Esperanza, a foundation supporting children in need with food, clothing, money, and medical treatments. Elisha uses her paintings as a catalyst for social good and is currently in the process of building a school for children in an orphanage near her hometown. She plans to teach them English, French, mathematics, history, basic carpentry skills, and art, empowering them with the tools they need to become responsible citizens and thought leaders.

Rusty Tolliver

A small-town kid from Bastrop, Texas, I was released into the world in my late teens to experience life and culture outside my realm. With a blend of small-town values and big-city smarts, I lived and worked along both coasts of North America, Canada, Australia, and Wales. I’ve seen the beauty of this country and its inhabitants firsthand. Once by foot, running 2,000 miles from Boston, MA to Austin, TX. And once by van, driving thousands of miles across the lower 48 as a traveling sock salesman, living out of a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Van!

I am currently enrolled in Environmental Studies at ACC, as well as being a Sustainability Steward for the Energy & Sustainability Department for the college.

I will continue to build a more accessible, inclusive, and environmentally friendly community wherever I may roam.
