What is Your Why Workshop (60 to 90 minutes)
Enhance your collaborative dynamic with this workshop grounded in the research of leadership coach and inspirational speaker Simon Sinek, with an ACC added lens of LOVE. Participants will build fellowship by finding their individual and group purposes by rethinking the WHYs that drive them. A Collaborative Culture CCM (magazine) facilitators lead participants in exercises designed to build camaraderie by finding their individual, team, and departmental purposes by rethinking the “whys” that drive them. The goal is to help every Austin Community College student, faculty, and staff, find unique relationships to courage, compassion, joy, and yes.
Breaking Bread Workshop Series
A Collaborative Culture (CCM) Magazine invites you to a 3-part series to help you brainstorm and workshop projects or submissions for CC, other publications, classes, student organizations, and more. Telling stories connects us to ourselves, our communities, and the social fabric around us. In this accessible 90-minute workshop, facilitators will provide actionable strategies to empower every individual with the foundational confidence to join ongoing conversations about issues that impact everyday life at Austin Community College, in the city of Austin, and beyond.
Part 1 will lead participants through Simon Sinek’s “Golden Circle” to explore their WHY with an ACC twist. Participants are invited to join Parts 2 and 3 of the workshop to explore how their WHY can be incorporated into a project or submission for CCM, classes, and beyond. The tools that participants learn in these workshops will extend beyond writing itself, informing multimedia communication like podcasts, short-form videos, social media, and more.

Designing Your Belonging & Purpose
We are all on a journey, and as we know, no pathway is linear. With design thinking, we can forge a path towards belonging and purpose. In this 60-minute workshop, the CCM team will take participants through the core principles of designing thinking, helping participants tap into their own self-awareness and help find their personal understandings of belonging and purpose.
