Congrats to The Winners of the Viscom DESIGN-A-THON

Viscom kicked off November with a DESIGN-A-THON, in which four teams of Viscom students had a little less than eight hours to research, ideate, design, and implement a solution to the prompt “how might we help ACC students without transportation get to ACC campuses so that they can go to their classes and activities?”

Teams were guided by working UX professionals, and ultimately presented their ideas to a panel of UX design experts.

The winning team was the Patina Turtles, consisting of Ohana Andre de Souza, Ruben Sanchez, Tony Till, Sam Parman, and Leo Vega-Centeno. Their proposal integrated a transportation search function into Self-Service. The judges appreciated that this potential solution would present students with “the right info at the right time,” while also being relatively easy to implement. Congrats to the Patina Turtles!
