WET LAB STARTUP BUSINESS INCUBATOR
Expanding Horizons: A Year of Bringing Hands-On Lab Experience to Students

In the previous year, we embarked on a mission to offer middle and high school students tangible laboratory experiences, believing that firsthand exposure is the key to igniting interest in lab careers. We welcomed approximately 300 students from various programs, including high school classes, Verizon’s summer camp, and other educational groups, to our facilities. After evaluating what resonates with these young minds—balancing both engagement and safety with our operational needs—we’ve ambitiously scheduled nearly 200 students for February alone. Achieving this involves collaboration with multiple departments at HLC, such as the Impact Lab, MakeItCenter, Health Simulation Center, RadioTelevisionFilm, Jewelry, and Music Production. This interdepartmental partnership has not only been enriching but also promises to foster ongoing relationships, with all parties keen to showcase their offerings.
