The Austin Community College Web Advisory Committee (WAC) serves in an advisory capacity to the Chancellor’s Cabinet. The committee provides strategic direction to and governance of all web services and policies for the College’s online presence— top tier, second tier, and intranet/portals.
Responsibilities
- Serves as oversight committee for the Web Redesign Project.
- Ensures collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
- Reviews and drafts web-related policies and procedures.
- Identifies and prioritizes web needs in alignment with institutional goals.
- Promotes adherence to web policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Promotes the proper & consistent use of websites and web applications for the college across the district.
- Reviews web performance reports.
- Recommends improvements and additional resources, if needed.
- Ensures ACC follows or exceeds Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
