John-Mike Reed aka Dr. Bleep has been designing and manufacturing synthesizers in Austin, TX since 2006
His first product, the Thingamagoop was designed with the help of Goopymartwho had the brilliant idea of putting a face on Dr. Bleep’s weird noise boxes.
Since then John-Mike has designed and produced all kinds of noise and light gizmos, collaborated with fantastic musicians, and taught workshops on DIY electronic art and more.

John-Mike will be hosting the DIY Noisemakers workshop at the Austin Public Library this Summer.
Teen Central Music Lab Presents: DIY Noisemakers
This workshop is just for 13-18 year-olds as a part of the Austin Public Library’s teen event series.
In it we’ll learn the basics of electronics and breadboarding by building a light controlled analog synthesizer with amplifier, a digital patchable synth, and a wah-wah and distortion effect circuit.
