Updates from Music Business, Performance and Technology, the Artists Now Known as Audio Technology & Industry!

Introducing the Audio Technology & Industry (ATI) Department!  Formerly known as Music Business Performance and Technology, we have undergone an exciting transformation and are now proudly ACC’s Audio Technology and Industry Department. Our name change reflects our commitment to innovation, creativity, and embracing the limitless possibilities of sound. The name change was spurred by our faculty, staff, and Advisory committees to more accurately reflect the full breadth of our course offerings and of the industry at large, as well as to better differentiate our work from that of the music department.

We are also excited to announce Haley Weber as our new Program Specialist and Paul Stautinger as our new Department Chair. We are all looking forward to continuing our emphasis on real-world learning experiences in the classroom, with opportunities to work outside of the classroom through our in-house recording studios, as well as live performances at the Flex Factory on Fridays, our internship program, and more.

Welcome to the reimagined Audio Technology and Industry Department—where the power of sound knows no bounds!

About Paul:
Paul Stautinger is a dedicated and passionate educator, musician, and recording engineer, who has worked across those disciplines in Austin for over 30 years. As a former ACC student, Paul knows the power that a single caring teacher can bring to each individual student’s life, and is excited to further facilitate those relationships as the incoming department chair for Audio Technology & Industry (ATI). Paul hopes to build off of the fantastic work of his predecessors to continue our focus on building a meaningful program for our students that ensures their success as they enter their chosen profession.

About Haley:
Haley Weber, a UTSA graduate, holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Music Marketing. Prior to this achievement, she embarked on a meaningful college experience at  Northwest Vista college, which instilled valuable lessons. As the new Audio Technology and Industry Specialist, she strives to inspire students, fostering their personal development and encouraging them to unlock their full potential!
