News from Music – Fall 2023

As of Fall 2023, the Music Department has 249 students enrolled as Music Majors, which is 30% larger than last year, and nearly double the size from two years ago. Due to our significant growth, we welcomed 11 new faculty to ACC this fall: Stephen White, Full Time Choir Director; Page Stephens and Laura Mercado-Wright, voice; Kaitlin Gustafson, Jae Eun Baek, and Elizabeth Wirtz, piano; James Tabata, composition/theory; Ryan Patterson, percussion; David Hummel, tuba; and Hannah Durham, American Music. Since so many of our faculty perform professionally, there will be numerous opportunities for the ACC community to hear them perform at the Highland Campus Recital Hall.

Our concerts are always free to attend. Please consider attending some of our events. If any of our programs overlap with subjects in your classes, let us know and feel free to invite your students to attend as well.
