Building Momentum Through Collaboration
The ACC Website Redesign Project continues to make steady progress as the team moves from planning and discovery into collaborative design and validation. Over the past month, project work focused on refining key student experiences, engaging stakeholders in meaningful decision-making, and preparing for the next phase of usability testing.
iFactory Team On-Site Visit
A major milestone was the two-day onsite workshop with our partners at iFactory, which brought together representatives from across the College to review designs, discuss content strategy, and align on priorities for the future website. Rather than simply collecting feedback, these sessions were designed to produce actionable decisions that will guide the next phase of design and implementation.

Refining the Student Experience
Throughout June, the project team continued refining wireframes for many of the website’s highest-priority pages, including Admissions & Aid, How to Apply, the Program Finder, Program Detail Pages, “Schools of”, Campus Pages, and the ACC Newsroom.
These refinements focused on making it easier for prospective students to navigate the website, understand their options, and confidently take the next step in their educational journey. The team also incorporated feedback from stakeholder review sessions and the Web Advisory Committee to strengthen content organization and improve the overall user experience.
Advancing the Content Strategy
Content planning also continued to move forward as the project team refined migration plans and evaluated opportunities to simplify and consolidate information across the future website.
Discussions throughout the month centered on improving navigation, clarifying the relationship between Schools and Departments, and establishing governance practices that will help keep content accurate, consistent, and easier to maintain long after the redesign launches.
Preparing for Usability Testing
The project is now entering an important validation phase.
Planning for July usability testing is largely complete, including participant recruitment criteria, testing logistics, scheduling, and coordination with iFactory. These sessions will allow prospective students to interact with prototype designs, providing valuable insights that will help validate design decisions and identify opportunities for further improvement before visual design and development continue.
Looking Ahead
Over the coming weeks, the project team will:
- Incorporate outcomes from the June stakeholder workshops into the next round of design refinements.
- Continue advancing content planning and governance decisions.
- Complete participant recruitment for usability testing.
- Conduct usability testing in July to validate key user journeys and inform future design work.
As always, thank you to the faculty, staff, and stakeholders who continue to share their expertise throughout this process. Your participation is helping shape a website that is easier to use, easier to maintain, and better equipped to support prospective students throughout their journey to ACC.
