The Riverbats Women’s Volleyball Team light it up against Victoria College on Sept. 25, 2025, starting the season off with a bang.
In the first set, ACC jumped to a 9-3 lead, with strong defense not letting Victoria College get anything done early. Immediately after, Victoria College went on a 6-0 offensive run, but ACC quickly clapped back with a 7-0 run of its own to make the score 16-9. After that, ACC never looked back, an overall amazing team effort led to ACC winning the first set 25-11, giving up only two points the rest of the way.

In the second set, ACC started with a 10-2 lead. Victoria College gained momentum and inched closer, narrowing the gap to 14-10 due to ACC blunders and mistakes. But the Riverbats regrouped to win the second set 25-12, with great contributions from setter Georgia Lincoln, who kept the offense stable when momentum started to slip.

In the third set, ACC fell behind 5-9 for the first time of the match, struggling with sloppy play early on. At the halfway mark, ACC bounced back to lead 14-11. The Riverbats stayed resilient through long rallies, even when down. ACC won the third set 25-21, their closest of the day, but that shouldn’t take away from their dominant offensive performance, with the explosive duo of Sadie Herron and Hailey Bartley making it rain all day and making Victoria College’s lives unnecessarily hard.

ACC looks forward to a hopeful season after an amazing start!
