Registering for BIOL 2401 (A&P I)

Beginning with Spring 2027 registration, students will no longer need departmental approval to enroll in BIOL 2401. The A&P Assessment Test or Transcript Review will no longer be required.

Students must have completed high school Biology and be TSI Complete or Exempt in Reading, Writing, and Math to be eligible to take BIOL 2401.

The department will no longer offer BIOL 2401 classes paired with BIOL 1308 starting Spring 2027. Students without any prior Biology coursework are recommended to take BIOL 1308 (Biology for Non-Science Majors I) in the previous semester to increase their Biology knowledge before taking A&P I.

Another option for students looking for a refresher is CE BIOL-4000: Pre-Anatomy and Physiology Biology and Chemistry Review. This optional Continuing Education course reviews foundational biology and chemistry concepts used in A&P and may be helpful for students who have been away from science courses or would like additional preparation before taking BIOL 2401. Learn more about CE BIOL-4000.

BIOL 2401 sections are expected to fill quickly, especially with the removal of the departmental approval process. Students are strongly encouraged to register as early as possible.

If a section is full, students may need to join the waitlist. Students on a waitlist should monitor their ACC email closely for notification that a seat is available.

The Biology Department is working to increase A&P course offerings for Spring 2027. Please check Self-Service for available sections when planning your schedule.
