What if I will not be in Austin or the ACC district and service area during the assessment testing dates?

Students who are out of town during testing dates may be able to arrange an exam by proctor at another location.  You must locate a test location in your area (usually a college or university testing center) and then provide the contact name, email address and web site for the school so that the location can be verified.

Please note it may take a few days for us to contact the testing center and coordinate testing materials so students must wait for a response approving the proctor site before scheduling their appointment.

Once a student takes the exam via a proctor site, it is graded within one (1) business day.  Students are notified of their grade via email.  Those that are granted permission are put in que with the rest of BIOL 2401 assessment test permissions being granted.  This process can take up to 5 business days from the time that students submit are notified of a passing grade.  Please note that you will not be notified when your permission is complete.  Students can tell if they have permission by attempting to register for their preferred unpaired section of BIOL 2401.  If it has been more than 5 business days since you were notified and you are still unable to register, please contact the Biology department at (512) 223-3322 or via email at [email protected] as there may have been an issue in processing your request.
