Making needed improvements collegewide
The bond program will fund necessary renovations and upgrades across the college’s existing campuses. Projects focus on health, safety, sustainability, and technology improvements including:
- Reconfigure undersized classrooms
- Expand Testing Centers, Learning Labs, libraries and other student spaces
- Add faculty and adjunct faculty offices where needed
- Accessibility improvements
- Sustainability improvements (renewable energy, water reclamation, energy efficiency)
- Electrical safety improvements
- Replace aging A/C equipment with more efficient equipment that complies with current regulations
- Replace aging roofs
- Parking lot repairs
- Replace/repair aging window systems; add film to reduce heat-gain
- Repair exterior walls where needed
- Security upgrades (locking systems, intrusion detection, video protection)
- Lab safety improvements (ventilation, safety showers, eyewash stations)
- Update fire alarm and fire suppression systems to current standards
