Jaime Cantú is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Austin Community College. He utilizes Generative AI tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. His work extends beyond traditional teaching methods, incorporating AI-driven technologies to create personalized, culturally relevant educational experiences that resonate with the unique needs of his students.

Jaime is currently pursuing an EdD in Bilingual Education with a STEM concentration, aiming to bridge the achievement gap for first-generation college students. His research interests include the application of AI in education, the intersection of language and learning, and promoting equity in STEM fields.

Jaime’s commitment to using technology as a tool for social justice and educational equity is evident in his approach to teaching, where he continuously explores new ways to support student success and foster a more inclusive learning environment.
