Success Coaches for Professional Nursing Students

Together the Success Coaches and Skills Tutors provide comprehensive support to students throughout their journey in the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program.

We believe it is much easier to stay on track than it is to catch up. Reach out for support early to prevent falling behind and ensure your long-term success.

Success Coach

The Success Coach assists students in the following areas:

  • Theory: Study strategies, test-taking strategies, organization, course content, dosage calculations, and exam review.
  • Skills: Mastery skills and clinical performance, including prioritization and organization.
  • Psychosocial/Financial: Guidance and resources.

Students may be referred by an instructor or may self-refer to a Success Coach.

Skills Tutors

The Skills Tutor assists students with:

  • Skills: Mastery skills and clinical performance, including prioritization and organization.
  • Support during open lab sessions.

Students are referred by an instructor to a Skills Tutor.

  • Early Alert Referral System
    A resource hub that connects ACC students with assistance for academics, health care, child and family care, mental health, transportation, food assistance, civil rights resources, and other needs.
  • The C.A.R.E. Network
    Connects students with community resources and services related to basic needs, including child care, housing and utilities, emergency funds, food assistance, mental health counseling, and other support.
  • Health Sciences Success Coordinator
    Provides Health Sciences students with support in areas such as study skills, test-taking strategies, time management, academic concerns, and navigating available college resources.
  • Library Services
    ACC Libraries and Reference Librarians are available to help students with research and academic support. Services are available in person, by appointment, email, phone, and through online chat.
  • Mental Health Resources & Counseling
    ACC counselors can assist students experiencing personal challenges or difficulty being successful. Counseling services may also include career and academic support and are available through appointments, referrals, and walk-in services.
  • Student Support
    ACC provides a variety of free academic, personal, financial, and technology support services designed to help students stay on track and overcome challenges.
  • Student Accessibility Services (SAS)
    Provides equitable access and accommodations for students with documented disabilities to support their full participation in college classes, programs, and activities.

These workshops serve as a review and are not designed for students who have no previous instruction in dosage calculations. In order to attend the workshops, you must be currently enrolled in one of these courses:

This event will be hosted virtually on Zoom. Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation email with additional meeting information.
