The Bats to Cats declaration form is officially open!


The Bats to Cats program provides a seamless transfer pathway for ACC students to Texas State University, offering significant tuition savings, personalized advising, and exclusive scholarship opportunities to support students on their journey to a bachelor’s degree.

  • Seamless Transfer Pathway:
    The Bats to Cats program allows ACC students to transfer to Texas State University (TXST) with a clear pathway, ensuring that ACC credits align with their TXST bachelor’s degree requirements.
  • Significant Cost Savings:
    Students can potentially save up to $19,000 in tuition and fees by starting at ACC and transferring to Texas State University.
  • Personalized Guidance:
    Advisors offer academic and transfer planning to prevent students from taking unnecessary courses and to streamline their path to a bachelor’s degree at TXST.
  • Scholarship Opportunities:
    Transfer students may be eligible for merit scholarships, including a $1,000 award for Texas State San Marcos or a $2,000 award for Texas State Round Rock.

    • NOTE: This does not apply to online degree programs.
  • Limited Time to Apply:
    The Bats to Cats declaration form is open from:

    • September 1 to December 15, 2024
    • February 1 to August 15, 2025
  • Additional Perks:
    Students in the program receive free tickets to select TXST athletic events.

    All students who have not been accepted into an ACC Health Sciences program should declare General Studies in Pre-Health Sciences (Associate of Science) for their major. Once accepted into a program, the student's major will be updated.
