Riverbat Success Programming

Riverbat Ambassadors

Riverbat Ambassadors are student leaders who work in the Office of Student Life. They build community at ACC by engaging with their peers through intentional conversations and event planning.

In order to be hired in the Office of Student Life, you must be awarded
work-study through ACC Financial Aid. If you are unsure whether you qualify for
work-study or how to apply for work-study, please visit your campus Financial
Aid Office.

For more information about the Riverbat Ambassadors program, please contact ambassadors@austincc.edu.

Welcome Week is a chance for you to get introduced to Student Life and

Life to be displayed on your campus throughout April in this collective art
project called The Clothesline Project.

Connect is a chance for students to ‘link up’ with Student Life. Student Life aims to connect students with Student Life resources through interactive components fostering natural conversations and connections. It also serves to anchor students to the ACC resources that are available to help them succeed.

Take Back the Night (TBTN) with ACC Student Life and commemorate an international day of action bringing attention to sexual and domestic violence on college campuses. TBTN will include a resource fair, campus march, speak out event and more. We encourage the entire ACC community to attend.

Each spring Student Life hosts Nite in the Life to recognize the excellent work of student leaders across ACC. Students, staff and faculty are able to nominate Riverbat Ambassadors, Student Organizations and Events for recognition.

Student Life provides specialized programming for affinity groups that include cultural and community experiences. One of these recurring events includes the Imposter Syndrome workshop series, which introduces students to imposter syndrome as well as the ACC resources available to combat those feelings.
