The Mentor and Leadership Program is designed to assist first-year students in acclimating to ACC and understanding the resources available to them as Riverbats. This one-year program encourages interested students to apply through MySL and provide a statement of interest.
Community Service Initiatives: Engage in meaningful community service projects and make a positive impact while fostering a sense of social responsibility.
Leadership Development Workshops & Events: Attend exclusive workshops and events led by experienced leaders, honing your leadership abilities and critical thinking skills.
Peer-to-Peer Connections: Connect with like-minded peers through social events, establishing a professional network and a supportive community.
Career Readiness: Submit reflections on your experiences in the program that enhance your NACE career readiness competencies, gaining valuable insights for your personal and professional growth.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the program, students should:
- Be currently enrolled for Fall 2023, with plans to register for Spring 2024
- Have no more than 12 earned credit hours (FTIC/FTACC)
- Maintain active status by participating in at least 3 ACC/Student Life/MLP events each semester once accepted into the program
- Complete an intake meeting with the MLP Staff
