Victoria Li is a licensed professional engineer in Texas with an extensive background in civil/environmental engineering and executive leadership in government. Victoria Li has served as Department Director for City of Austin for the past 7 years, first Department of Watershed Protection and Development Review and now Watershed Protection. Before working with the City, Victoria was the executive director of the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. She modernized the Board’s operation and contributed significantly to the profession by promoting engineering professionalism. Before working for the Engineers’ Board, she was in charge of Air Pollution Permitting Program at the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality. Victoria has always been very involved with the Austin community. Ms. Li served on numerous boards and commissions, including AISD budget review committee, commissioner of the Water & Waste Water Utility Commission, City of Austin’s Smart Growth Task Force, Board of CARITAS,(a charity organization), and Travis County Hospital District Board. She was selected as the Community Health Care Hero by Austin Business Journal in 2009. Victoria currently chairs the Government Advisory Committee with the Professional Engineers’ Board and is on the Industry Advisory Board with Texas A&M Prairie View.
