Skills Lab

Nursing Skills Lab

Austin Community College offers nursing skills laboratories located at four locations. Each location contains a variety of patient simulators and necessary patient care equipment. These labs provide an opportunity for nursing students to improve their critical thinking skills in combination with psychomotor skills, and build self confidence in a safe environment.

If this is your first visit to the lab, you are encouraged to visit the Skills Lab Policies page before you proceed. Please note there is limited open lab time during the first weeks of each semester. Please take advantage of time between semesters to prepare for Mastery Check-offs. Open Lab Hours are subject to change on a daily basis. Check the calendar prior to coming to the lab.

If this is your first experience with Simulation, please view the Welcome to the Simulation Lab presentation and the Mannequin Features and Functionality video.
