Administrative Rule

  1. To be considered full-time in the fall and spring semesters, students must register for a minimum of twelve credit hours in any combination of terms within the sixteen-week semester. Students who wish to register for more than eighteen credits in any combination of terms within the fall or the spring semester must have written permission from the Campus Dean of Student Services or designee before registering.
  2. To be considered full-time in the 11-week summer term, students must register for a minimum of twelve credit hours. Students who wish to register for more than twelve credit hours in the eleven-week term must have written permission from the Campus Dean of Student Services or designee before registering.
  3. To be considered full-time in a 9-week term, students must register for twelve credit hours. Students who wish to register for more than twelve credit hours must have written permission from the Campus Dean of Student Services or designee before registering.
  4. To be considered full-time in one 5.5 summer session, students must register for six credit hours. Students who wish to register for more than six credit hours in one 5.5 week summer session must have written permission from the Campus Dean of Student Services or designee before registering.
  5. Deans, counselors, and advisors may limit the number of credit hours for which a student registers if, in their professional judgment, they feel a reduced schedule will increase a student’s chances of succeeding at ACC.
