Administrative Rule

Scholastic achievement by students will be recognized by the College at the completion of each semester in the following categories:

  1. Chancellor’s Honor Designation

A student who has completed twelve (12) or more semester-credit hours of college credit course work at Austin Community College, and who achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 4.00 for that semester will be eligible for the Chancellor’s Honor designation.

  2. Scholastic Excellence Designation

A student who has completed twelve (12) or more semester-credit hours of college credit course work at Austin Community College, and who achieved a GPA of 3.75 or above for that semester will be eligible for the Scholastic Excellence designation.

  3. Scholastic Leadership Designation

A student who has completed twelve (12) or more semester-credit hours of college credit course work at Austin Community College, and who achieved a GPA of 3.50 or above for that semester will be eligible for the Scholastic Leadership designation.

Notification of the achievement will appear on the student’s official ACC transcript.  A notation of the honor will appear on the diploma if the student’s cumulative GPA upon graduation qualifies the student for a scholastic achievement designation.
