Computer User Support

Computer User Support specialists provide support for computer software and hardware. They may troubleshoot issues for computer users over the phone as a help desk technician. They may also support developers, analysts, and administrators within an organization.

Computer user support specialist skills:

  • Ability to install and repair computer hardware and peripherals
  • Interpret customer questions and offer solutions
  • Be patient with non-technical computer users who need assistance
  • Train computer users on newly installed software and hardware

Computer User Support Certificates and Degree

Computer User Support awards were designed to stack. Earn a certificate in User and Computer Support, in as little as three semesters, then complete your Associate of Applied Science degree in Information Technology – User and Computer Support specialization.
