1. For the Sales Agent License, what courses do I need, how much do they cost and can I take them online?
The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) requires all who desire a Texas Real Estate sales license to take qualifying education courses from an authorized provider. Austin Community College is an authorized provider of these courses, which are also college credit courses and all are offered online each Fall, Spring and Summer semester. Visit ACC Course Schedule, select the desired semester and Real Estate as the discipline.
Five courses are needed to meet the 180-hour requirement from TREC and provide the knowledge to pass the TREC Sales License Exam. To earn credit, you must attend 90% of the class hours and pass the required exams.
The following table shows the five mandatory courses and their tuitions and fees, which do NOT include the costs of books. Students must purchase books for these courses separately. For Out of State & International Students and additional information on tuitions and fees, please visit the Tuition Table.
