We are a customer service company that is great at welding. From welding repairs to structural welding to creating art, there’s no job too big or too small for us.
We are looking for a sharp individual who can think on their feet, has a strong work ethic and is willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
KBG Welding is looking for a Welder/Fabricator. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG and Stick welding with a minimum of five years of experience. Must have current Certifications for 3G and 4G structural Steel. Must be able to lead team members towards completing projects. Must be willing to work on-site (in the heat) or indoors.

Duties
MIG and Stick welding experience a must.
Aluminum welding experience a plus, but not required.
Working knowledge of standard welding tools and techniques.
Able to use all types of measuring devices and measurements.
Knowledge and utilization of power tools and other equipment such as, grinders, drills, drill press, saws, spray painters, etc.
Structural welding, fabrication and erection required.
Read and interpret project blueprints, drawings, construction plans, design specifications and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.
Strong math aptitude.
Interact with customers in a professional manner.
Great time management skills.
Maintain and repair equipment as needed.
Keep a clean work area on site and in the shop.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedures.
Must pass welding test.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid Texas Drivers License.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certificate or degree in welding.

Salary/ Pay Rate:  Salary commensurate with experience.

CNC Machinist Intern Duties and Responsibilities

    • Operate CNC Mill, EDM, Lathe, and/or Swiss machines
    • Learn to perform quality inspection on completed parts
    • Learn to perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines to ensure consistent machine performance
    • Learn to setup tools

CNC Machinist Intern Position Requirements

    • Operator experience with CNC Mill, and Lathe
    • Ability to do arithmetic, preferable in machine math/shop math
    • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (learn GD&T)
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
    • Learn to read measurement equipment such as micrometer, caliper, pressure micrometer

Job Description:

Setup/Machine Operator Position Summary

Machine operators maintain and operate machinery. They must have an understanding of the machines they work with. In-depth training may be required in order to prepare a machine operator for their daily duties.

Machine operators may work with mechanical or computer-operated equipment. They must be technically inclined and be able to properly utilize tools and machinery. Since problems with machinery may arise, machine operators must be able to analyze situations and notice problems.

Candidates for this position should be detail-oriented and willing to learn. Machine operators should be able to follow instructions, work with others, and help ensure that all safety regulations are followed.

Setup/Machine Operator Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of machinery.
    • Operate measuring tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
    • Perform periodic checks on parts
    • Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order.
    • Measure parts to ensure conformity
    • Interact with setup machinist to understand order details
    • Update shop software with time tracking information
    • Saw materials to specifications as required
    • Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.

Setup/Machine Operator Requirements:

    • High School Diploma/GED.
    • Combination of additional education and experience.
    • Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to work and communicate well with others.
    • Proficiency with hand tools.
