Explore Your Future in Welding Technology

Welding offers tremendous career opportunities with applications across nearly every industry—and for nearly every personality type. At Austin Community College, the Welding Technology Department provides a variety of award options to help you reach your goals, whether you want to build skills quickly or pursue a comprehensive degree.

Program Options:

• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degrees – Complete in as little as two years as a full-time student. These degrees include five core academic courses (such as English, math, and history). Placement into these courses requires completion of the TSI assessment.

• Certificates – Focused, hands-on training programs that can be completed in just two semesters. Certificates do not require core academic courses or TSI testing.

• Occupational Skills Award in Multiple Process Welding – A short-term program designed to build welding skills quickly, which can be completed in a single semester.
