The Welding Technology Department at Austin Community College offers two certificates and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Architectural and Ornamental Metals, preparing students for careers creating architectural and ornamental metal items using welding and forging fabrication techniques.

ACC charges tuition and fees based on the student’s residency. Since those students living within our taxing district already support the college through their taxes, they pay the lowest fees. See full tuition and fees information here.
An in district student will pay $391 for each welding course in the AOM program.
An out of district student will pay $1,195 for each welding course in the AOM program.
An out of state student will pay $1727 for each welding course in the AOM program.
In addition to tuition and fees, students are required to purchase certain supplies and tools. The required list varies by course. The full list can be found here.
There is one textbook which is required in the AOM program. It is Welding Principles and Applications by Larry Jeffus. This book is in its 9th edition.
