Welding Safety

For safety reasons, we cannot overload Welding Technology classes.  We accept the maximum number of students that we can based upon lab size (which dictates how many students a professor can effectively supervise) and available equipment.  The small size of our welding courses ensures that each student receives individual feedback and instruction.

Welding can be inherently dangerous if you fail to observe proper safe working practices.  As a student, you will be required to follow all college and department safety guidelines or you may be removed from class.  The safety guidelines will be provided to you in each course’s syllabus and covered in lectures.
