Value Statement

The Austin Community College District (“ACC” or “the College”) will ensure that adjunct faculty workloads are appropriate to meet the needs of the College and its students across instructional programs. Adjunct faculty will not be scheduled for excessive workloads.

Administrative Rule

Members of the Adjunct Faculty will have a workload that is no more than 9 credit hours and no more than 11 lecture equivalent hours (LEH) in any single Fall or Spring semester. Adjunct faculty will have a workload, and no more than six (6) credit hours and no more than 6 lecture equivalent hours (LEH) in any summer semester.

Any exceptions to the workload limits must be approved in accordance with Guideline/Procedure 4.1000.04.1.
