Austin Community College is committed to helping students, in unusual and documented situations, to remain enrolled and to complete their courses.

Administrative Rule

An informal transfer grants a student permission to attend a course section other than the one in which originally enrolled, after the official period for schedule changes has passed.  Informal transfers should be very rare and based upon verifiable, emergency need, and must occur within the same session.  Informal transfers must be approved by the Department Chair (or designee) of the discipline in which the student is enrolled.
