Value Statement

The Austin Community College District Student Success Initiative is a college commitment to learning and success for all students. Equity of student success is a hallmark goal for Austin Community College. The college will monitor academically underprepared students, assisting them to achieve their educational goals.

Administrative Rule

Students whose assessment scores indicate they need developmental education courses must meet with an Advisor/Counselor to develop an Education Plan. Advisors/Counselors may refer students to college and/or community support services/resources. They will guide and advise students until the developmental education course sequence is completed.

Faculty advises continuing students who have completed the developmental education course sequence, have a declared major, and are in academic good standing.
