The Austin Community College District will fulfill its mission to offer programs and courses that lead to certificates and degrees.
Administrative Rule
Austin Community College shall award the following degrees and certificates:
- Applied Baccalaureate Degrees as specifically approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Applied Baccalaureate Degrees build upon an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree to grow professional management skills of the learner and meet the demand for leadership of highly technical professionals in the workplace.
- The Associate of Arts Degree for those students completing a two-year program preparatory to seeking a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
- The Associate of Science Degree for those students completing a two-year program preparatory to seeking a Bachelor of Science Degree.
- The Associate of Arts in Teaching Degree for those students completing a two-year program preparatory to seeking a Bachelor Degree to become a certified teacher.
- The Associate of Applied Science Degree for those students completing a two-year program of technical work.
- The Certificate of Completion for those students completing an applicable course or program.
