The Austin Community College District (“ACC” or “the College”) demonstrates compliance with all state and federal laws about the employment of individuals by confirming the right to work in the United States and treating all new employees fairly and equitably in the employment process.
Austin Community College requires that all employees are legally authorized to work in the United States. The College must verify employment eligibility by completing the Employment Eligibility Verification, Form I-9, and E-Verify, a government system to verify employees’ identities and establish a worker’ eligibility to accept employment in the United States.
- The Office of Human Resources is responsible for establishing the process and procedures for employment eligibility verification that comply with any state or federal law. Departments are responsible for verifying eligibility.
- All ACC employees are subject to the employment verification process.
- All applicants must verify employment eligibility within three business days of initial hiring. Candidates hired for employment for less than three business days must comply at the time of hire.
