Elgin Campus project latest updates

Follow our progress as we expand programs and services at Elgin. The campus will have new facility additions as indicated in the 2014 bond program to house the college’s veterinary technology and sustainable agriculture entrepreneurship training.

Currently at the campus, farm facilities for the sustainable agriculture program are being developed (with funds approved before the 2014 bond election). A greenhouse is in the works; the college plans to create a diverse orchard and vegetable cropping garden during the spring 2016 semester. An architect for Phase II of Elgin Campus will be selected soon.

Austin Community College will offer its first Continuing Education (CE) non-credit, Sustainable Agriculture Entrepreneurship courses this fall, and more courses will be created by the spring semester.

For additional information about sustainable agriculture courses, please visit the department website at austincc.edu/agriculture.

Core courses for ACC’s veterinary technology program will also be offered fall 2015. Details can be found online.
