Highlights
Outreach
- Worked with Octavia Gibson in Accounts Payable to pay Brightspace Leap invoice.
- Linda Smarzik presented the Digital Fluency program to Texas A & M Corpus Christi to Tara Carlisle, Director of Digital Information Literacy, Eric Cosio, Instructional Designer, and Lisa Louis, Head of Research and Learning.
- Linda Smarzik and Karina Hernandez met with Erasmus Addae, Associate Vice Chancellor for Distance and Alternative Learning to discuss the future of the program once QEP is complete. Dr. Addae gave his full support in continuing and growing the program.
- Met with Erasmus Addae and Grant Potts to get microcredentials on the online course schedule.
Microcredentials
- The migration of the microcredentials from Brightspace Leap to Blackboard Ultra continued this month.
- January 23rd – Demo of Blackboard Ultra course.
- Problem Solving with AI and Spreadsheets were successfully converted to Blackboard Ultra courses.
- A planning calendar was created for converting the additional 11 microcredentials into Blackboard Ultra.
- A planning calendar was created to build the final three microcredentials.
Data
For Spring 2025, co-curricular enrollment has outpaced opt-in enrollment with 324 learners to 230 learners. Total enrollment for Spring I, 2025 is 554 learners for 28 sections creating an average of 20 students per section.
