  • Students have the choice to build a free website using WordPress.com and Gutenberg Blocks, or a paid site using WordPress.org, Elementor plugin, and purchasing a subscription to a web host. The free option is for students who just want the experience of building a temporary website using WordPress.com. The paid option is for students who want a more permanent solution for their portfolio or business website. 
  • This microcredential requires a purchase of web hosting (about $45 per year depending on host) but there is a free hosting solution for those not planning on building a site they want to keep.
  • This microcredential requires the purchase of a domain name (about $10 or free depending on web host)
  • Knowledge of optimizing images in Photoshop is helpful
  • Good for those wanting to build a WordPress site for personal or business use
  • This microcredential is part of the Web Presence Fundamentals Microcertificate
