Your first step is to apply to Austin Community College.
In this challenging role, you’ll work with sophisticated fluoroscopic equipment to take images of the heart and surrounding blood vessels. You will assist with procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, embolization, ablation, and biopsies.
To earn postprimary credentials in Cardiac Interventional Radiology, you must first be certified and registered in Radiology by the ARRT. You must maintain compliance with the ARRT’s Standard of Ethics, fulfill additional requirements in structured education and clinical experience, and successfully complete the Cardiac Interventional Registry Examination.
