The Physical Therapist Assistant is an important member of the dynamic profession of physical therapy. Physical Therapist Assistants work under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist to rehabilitate people from injury or disease by improving mobility, relieving pain, and preventing further injury. The Physical Therapist Assistant is a member of the healthcare team that works with patients to help them achieve their therapy goals.
