Degrees and Certificates

There is tremendous scope and career potential within the field of welding technology. It is such a diverse field that there is an application for virtually every personality type. It is no exaggeration to say that our students are learning to manufacture everything from drawer pulls to skyscrapers!

To meet the needs of aspiring professionals in these ever-expanding disciplines, we offer several AAS (Associate of Applied Science) degrees, as well as varied Certificates and an Occupational Skills Award. (2022-2023 award plans)

One of the distinct differences between the AAS degrees and the certificates is that the degrees require five core curriculum courses, like English, math, and history. To help place a student into the correct level of core curriculum courses, the student must complete TSI testing.  The certificates do not include these courses, and so they do not require the testing.  Contact your advisor to determine what test(s) you need.
