Dental Hygiene Application Status

Letters have been sent via ACC email to the Fall 2020 applicants.  Statistics on the current applicant pool are as follows:

  • 88 applications were qualified to be considered;
  • the prerequisite grade point average (GPA) is 3.94 on a 4-point scale for the 18 individuals offered admission (14 of the 18 have a 4.0 GPA);
  • the average ranking score is 93.77 points with the high score of 97.32 and the low score of 91.03 for the 18 individuals offered admission;
  • all 18 had all of the co-requisite courses successfully completed by the deadline;
  • 15 of the 18 have some type of prior patient care experience;
  • 15 of the 18 had applied to the program at least once previously;
  • the average TEAS reading score of the 18 individuals offered admission is 83.35 and the average TEAS English and Language Usage score is 82.64.

Dental Hygiene Updates

  • Anatomy and Physiology I Assessment Testing Suspended for Summer and Fall 2020 Registration Only

    Due to COVID-19, and in response to ACC campuses limiting access to essential personnel only, the A&P I Assessment Test has been suspended for the remainder of this testing period and the Fall testing period. Students will not need permission to register for BIOL 2401 for Summer '20 and Fall '20 registration periods ONLY.

  • Note to applicants regarding “P/NP” grades due to COVID-19:

    A "P" grade will count for course completion of a prerequisite and co-requisite, but will not be calculated in determining the GPA for ranking purposes and could impact your total ranking score.
