Dell Children’s Medical Center is starting a new program for fetal interventional surgery (surgery on babies while they are still in utero). It will be one of the only delivery units attached to a children’s hospital. They are hiring two teams: one that will specialize in fetal interventional surgery (those postings will be at Dell Children’s Medical Center) and another team to work in the maternal delivery unit (those postings will be at Ascension Seton Medical Center). Work Experience Hours Waived for 2021 Application Cycle

Spring 2021 Application Update
The Surgical Technology Department will be allowing applications for Spring 2021 to be submitted with the required prerequisites in progress for Fall 2020. Please submit your application to healthsciences@austincc.edu.
TEAS Test No Longer Required for Surgical Technology Applicants
Effective immediately, a TEAS Test score is no longer required to apply to the Surgical Technology Program.
Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 Applications
The Fall 2020 Surgical Technology class has been filled. The program is currently accepting applications for Spring 2021 admission. Cohorts are filled on a first come first serve basis by date of application. For more information, visit the Application Process page.
Veterinary Technology Program Statement on “Pass” and “No Pass”
If a “P” grade is chosen for a Spring 2020 prerequisite course, the “P” grade will not be calculated in determining the GPA for ranking purposes and could impact your total ranking.
