Value Statement

Assessment of basic skills is an essential part of student success, to guide enrollment in appropriate courses.

Administrative Rule

Unless otherwise exempt or waived, each student who enters ACC must demonstrate fulfillment of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements.

A student can demonstrate successful completion of the TSI requirement by achieving the college readiness score at any time or through institutional assessment of college readiness on the reading, writing and mathematics sections of the state approved assessment test according to Administrative Rule 5.0603.01, Assessment College Readiness for New Students.

A student who successfully completes the developmental sequence will have demonstrated fulfillment of the TSI requirements and will have met college readiness requirements.
