Monthly Summary
In July, Linda Smarzik and Raquel Racusin presented at the Summer Innovation Institute at Central New Mexico College, focusing on ACC’s progress and strategies for supporting student success within the Digital Fluency micro-credentials model. Meetings were held with various teams to debrief schedule development, coordinate batch enrollment for students, and refine the Micro-credential Development Guide. Discussions also took place on the potential of becoming a Digital Navigator and experiences with digital badging implementation. Additionally, D2L functionality in support of micro-credential delivery was explored, and work on the Summer edition of the DFI Newsletter began.
Development and deployment of a marketing campaign for Fall micro-credentials continued, and Blackboard Ultra courses were created for the Summer session, which began on June 9th. The Systems Thinking and Project Management micro-credentials were finalized and offered for the first time. Syllabi were updated for accessibility, and certificates were created for Non-Profit learners. Data highlights include 220 students enrolling through the opt-in process and 49 through the co-curricular process. One new Co-Curricular Digital Navigator joined the program, and completion rates for active students earning a digital badge remained steady. The Digital Fluency Micro-credentials exceeded the year-three enrollment target, with 3,602 students enrolled.

Micro-Credentials

- Year three of the QEP set a target enrollment of 3,370 students. The Digital Fluency micro-credentials have exceeded that goal, with a year-three enrollment of 3,602 students.
