Dear Faculty Colleagues,
As you know, the General Election for the Senate was to begin today. Unfortunately, the tool we use to run these elections is not user-friendly, and the creation of ballots is taking longer than expected. The chair of the elections committee has asked me to postpone the election until Monday, April 13th. I have agreed to this.
For now, to ensure that you have ample time with the information, I want to give you the following:
- The full slate of nominees along with their campaign statements. Note that to make use of the links in the table of contents, you’ll need to DOWNLOAD the file.
- I am also sharing (again) the summary document outlining the proposed changes to our bylaws that you will also be voting on.
I want to extend my thanks to all the nominees for their willingness to serve ACC in this way. I also want to thank our elections chair, David Haney, for his work getting the ballots created with some SERIOUSLY challenging software.
Lastly, I want to thank you all for your patience. You should receive your ballot on Monday, but you can begin thinking about your vote now. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. Have a safe and healthy weekend, and I’ll be in touch next week.
Best,
