December 2022 QEP Update

Monthly Summary

The focus for December was on continuous improvement and development of micro-credential content and assessment strategies. The VALUE rubrics workshop, at the SACSCOC annual meeting, offered insight into how to assess student development of professional competencies, which resulted in refining the project assignments rubric criteria in the micro-credentials.

Ongoing discussions continued on how to identify and collect baseline data.

  • Presented at the SACSCOC annual meeting in Atlanta
  • Wrote a proposal for New Horizon report

Micro-Credentials

  • Ongoing curriculum development for Fundamentals of Computer Skills for Job Readiness micro-credentials – Word Processing and Presentation Software completed
  • Review and revision of Web Builder micro-credential in Brightspace LeaP based on student survey feedback to create a template for all micro-credentials
  • Ongoing D2L BSL training sessions
  • Participated in workshop at SACSCOC annual meeting – Using the VALUE Rubrics for Authentic Assessment and Faculty Development

Data

    • QEP implementation data subcommittee submitted a survey proposal for collecting baseline data
