Monthly Summary
January marked significant program achievements. The first six microcredentials (M1-M6) were presented and approved as credentials by ACC’s curriculum committee (the first in the college), paving the way for DFI to award digital badges to students. The ACC’s badging process continues to be refined with a current target of being able to start awarding badges in March.
Defining the digital navigator qualifications to meet SACSCOC requirements was another significant program achievement. Meeting this core dependency means that the DFI team can now finalize the digital navigator hiring and training processes.
Finally, the criteria for getting credit for prior learning was strengthened by adding a competency capstone project in conjunction with the pre-assessment quiz.
